Burna Boy Teases his Arrival

THE Burna Boy ‘Love, Damini’ tour stop in Namibia has officially been confirmed across Burna Boy’s social media platforms, as well as on his official website.

If you’re a fan of the African giant, you can smile from ear to ear after the artist formally set a date with Namibians for 25 September.

Many have been waiting with baited breath to hear from the Nigerian artist himself, and with a simple Instagram post he has brought excitement to fans in the Land of the Brave.

The caption simply read “Hage Geingob Stadium, Windhoek”, while the image is captioned “Namibia, 25/09”.

The international tour is coming to Namibia as part of Burna Boy’s global promotion of his latest album, which will see him also visit the United States and South Africa in September, while he has already performed in several American cities, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

According to the organisers of the show, which was previously slated for April 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic, the recent lifting of Covid-19 regulations has been an opportunity for the country’s tourism industry to thrive and return to a profitable position.

“[Burna Boy] coming to Namibia should be seen as a sign that Namibia is indeed fully back to business, a sign that should no doubt, convince some of the doubtful potential visitors to consider coming over,” says show organiser Gordon Jay.

Burna Boy has won several awards, and has over the years managed to morph into a star power.

The artist continues to dominate the music scene and his relevance is unopposed, being the first African to win the BET award for best international act two years in a row, and best global music album for ‘Twice as Tall’ at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

Tickets are available online at Webtickets and at Pick n Pay stores nationwide.
