THE current water level of dams in the southern regions stands at 1079,6 cubic meters, in comparison to the Gobabis dam’s water volume, which currently stands at 3,2 cubic meters.
This is according to NamWater’s weekly dam bulletin for November 2022.
According to the statistics, the Neckartal Dam is the fullest dam in the country, with its present water volume standing at 822,8 cubic millimeters, which translates into 96%, while the Hardap Dam’s water volume stands at 160,6 cubic millimeters.
The Naute Dam stands at 70,6 cubic millimeters, while the Oanob Dam stands at 24 millimeters. The Dreihuk Dam’s water level stands at 1 cubic meter, while the Bondels Dam is empty.
In the central region, the Swakoppoort Dam’s water level is currently at 50 cubic millimeters, followed by the Von Bach Dam at 18,5 cubic meters. The Omatako Dam is almost empty.
The Windhoek Goreangab Dam is currently at 3,6 cubic millimeters, while the Friedenau Dam stands at 5,3 cubic millimeters.
The Otjivero main dam is currently standing at 2,3 cubic millimeters, while the Otjivero silt Dam is standing at 0,1 cubic millimeters.
The bulletin also shows that the Tilda Viljoen Dam stands at 0,5 cubic millimeters, while the Daan Viljoen Dam stands at 0,1 cubic millimeters.
