Power outage in Eenhana – The Namibian

NAMPOWER has announced that it has been experiencing a power outage at Eenhana since 01h00 on Wednesday.

In a media statement by NamPower spokesperson Irene !Hoaes said the power outage was also experienced in the villages of Onhuno, Onekwaya, and Oshikango and surrounding areas.

“The power outage was a result of a faulty transformer. Nampower technical personnel is attending to the problem and have managed to restore power supplies to the town of Oshikango and efforts to ensure that power is restored to the rest of the affected customers continue,” !Hoaes said.

She said the public is warned to treat all power lines and electrical points as “live” during power outages as no prior notification will be given when power is restored.

“Nampower apologises to the residents and customers in the affected areas and the public in general for any inconvenience that the outage has caused,” she said.
