JSB Kasi tourney draw today

THE draw for this weekend’s JSB Sports Betting Open Kasi football tournament will be held at Soccer House in Katutura at 18h00 today.

Tournament organiser Hermanus Naobeb said that 32 teams had already indicated that they will compete, but that they will only be finalised at today’s draw and that more teams are still welcome to enter.

The competition, which is taking place for the second year, will see teams competing at the NFA Technical Centre at Soccer House and the Khomasdal Stadium this weekend, starting at 08h00 on Saturday.

Sixteen teams will compete on a knockout basis at the NFA Centre and 16 at the Khomasdal Stadium, with the two winners due to meet in Sunday’s final at 13h00.

According to Naobeb some of the teams that have already entered include Windhoek United, Dolam Pirates, Athletic Club Football Academy, Diamond United, City Legends, Namib Eagles and Swallows.

Teams from Otjomuise, Okahandja, Groot Aub and Rehoboth have also entered.

Last year’s winners, MPSH will once again compete, as well as the losing finalists, Tura Stars.

The winning team will receive N$15 000, gold medals and a floating trophy, while the runners-up will receive N$7 000 and the third-placed team N$3 000.
