Double_S on new music projects

WALVIS Bay’s new kids on the block, Double_S, which stands for Double Success, say they are currently busy with a new music project and are aiming to complete three songs before the year’s end.

The duo consists of eccentric pop male vocalist Waka Bows and rapper Lady Sativa, who surprised many hip-hop lovers with their first single ‘Remember Me’.

The single was released at the end of last month and debuted for the first time on Desert Radio.

The single, which the group says is based on a true story, was produced by Waka Bows.

“The storyline and the conception of the song is from Lady Sativa. We were talking about remember me the way I am or no matter what, but just remember me,” says Waka Bows.

In future, they hope to collaborate with talented musicians like Ethnix and Lioness on upcoming projects, says Lady Sativa,

The two young musicians met at Walvis Bay after visiting different studios for solo projects. They decided to merge for a big collaboration, and after working on ‘Remember Me’ they became a duo.

“The challenge that we faced was begging people for studio sessions and asking for a collaboration from a few artists who are known, but no one accepted to feature us, which was hurtful,” says Waka Bows.

He says they opted to move from Walvis Bay to Windhoek to access more music opportunities.

Next month, the duo plans to shoot a new music video in Wanaheda for the upcoming song ‘Women’, and they are inviting all women interested in being part of the music video to reach out to them on their social media platforms.
