All set for Wernhil extravaganza

Wernhil Shopping Centre has gone all out to bring the ‘Wernhil Fashion and Lifestyle Extravaganza’ this weekend.

The extravaganza will be held at the PicknPay atrium on Saturday from 10h00 to 13h00. Entry is free, and everyone can attend.

Broll Namibia’s head of marketing and public relations Sylvia Rusch says the ‘Wernhil Fashion Show’ will be the highlight of the extravaganza.

“The main objective of the fashion show is to support our tenants and local talent. We also want to offer good entertainment to our valued shoppers. Now is the time to embrace our organisations and reward our valued customers for their loyal support during these challenging times,” Rusch says.

She says the audience can expect newcomers on the runway.

“Diamond International Modelling Agency is assisting with some models, but we also have a few shop assistants who will walk down the runway. Some of them have never done modelling before. Wernhil is funding modelling coaching classes to get them ready for Saturday. We aim to empower our people. This would also show people how good you can look no matter your size and shape,” she says.

Pageant titleholders such as Annerie Maré, Anri Brynard, Schwane Blignaut, Dorothea van Wyk, Angela Ndapandula Ngondjodi, Kaino Jona, Kaylee Jacobs and Zya Smit will be there.

Rusch says Top Score, together with fashion designer Cathy Tshikesho from Urban Glam Designs, will produce a dress made from Top Score material while model and entrepreneur Nomvula Mbwaluh will walk down the runway wearing the exquisite dress. Top Score will also be showcasing a new fashion line.

Artists such as Ethnix, Lin-Marie Coetzee and Jessica Strydom will entertain the crowd. Dancers Blignaut and Brynard will also show off their creativity. Courage the Comedian will be the master of ceremonies. Local exhibitors will be showcasing their services and products. Children can have fun at the kids’ corner. Jovi, Wernhil’s mascot, will be entertaining shoppers, handing out sweets and Jovi stickers.

Wernhil loyal shoppers’ prices will also be handed out.
